Universal Audio SC-1 Condenser Microphone with Hemisphere Modeling

Capture professional recordings in astonishing detail with our SC-1, a classic studio condenser that's great for vocals, acoustic guitar, strings, and even loud guitar cabs. Thanks to its linear response, high SPL handling, and best-in-class Hemisphere mic modeling, SC-1 is your new virtual mic locker for pro or project studios.

SC-1 is powered by the same mic modeling technology found in our award-winning UA Sphere microphones. With the included Hemisphere Mic Collection software, this large diaphragm condenser gives you the authentic sound of eight legendary studio mics — including classics from Neumann, Telefunken, AKG, and more.*

SC-1 and the included Hemisphere Mic Collection software work with or without UA hardware, and go way beyond subtle EQ curves to give you precise control over filter, proximity, and axis — an industry first. Just set up SC-1 in front of your source and use the plug-in to quickly tame sibilance, find that “sweet spot” for vocals, or control harsh frequencies on a guitar amp.

SC-1 gives you classic condenser sound that’s perfect for vocals, acoustic guitar, strings, and even drums thanks to its high SPL handling. Plus, its ultra-linear circuit and extended dynamic range ensure distortion-free results in both low and high frequencies, giving you smooth results every time.

With a sleek, modern design and rugged build quality, SC-1 will give you decades of uncompromising recordings, no matter what you put in front of it. Simply supply phantom power, and hear your vocals and instruments come to life in stunning detail.
