Tegeler Audio Tube Summing Mixer

The Tube Summing Mixer is an outboard analog summing mixer built for engineers who want their DAW stems recombined through real tube and transformer circuitry rather than inside a digital mix bus. Stems leave the DAW as individual outputs, pass through this unit's active tube gain stages and output transformer, and return as a stereo mix with the width, separation, and low-end weight that analog summing is known for.

Capacity is generous: forty channels arrive via four D-Sub connectors wired to the common Tascam pinout, handling thirty-two of those channels, with four further stereo pairs available on balanced TRS jacks for outboard returns or extra stems. A mono source can be dropped straight into the lower jack of any TRS pair and the unit automatically splits it evenly to left and right, useful for center-panned elements without burning a full stereo channel. Output level is set with a stepped switch rather than a potentiometer, moving in fixed decibel increments down to fifteen decibels of attenuation, which keeps gain staging repeatable across sessions instead of relying on a knob position. Multiple units can be chained together where a mix calls for more than forty inputs, including surround work.
