Tegeler Audio Crème RC Remote-Controllable EQ and Bus Compressor

Crème RC is a remote-controllable outboard unit that combines a passive Pultec-style two-band equalizer with a VCA bus compressor, aimed squarely at mix-bus and mastering duty. The "RC" designates the remote-control feature: every control on the front panel is driven by a servo motor, so the same knob a hand would turn can instead be moved from a companion DAW plugin, which means settings save and recall with the session and can be automated like any other plugin parameter.

The compressor is built on VCA gain-reduction circuitry in the vein of classic bus-compressor designs, with stepped ratio choices from 1.5:1 up to 10:1, six fixed attack times, and a release selection that includes fixed steps alongside an Auto mode and a program-dependent "Cream" release curve. A sidechain low-cut filter keeps low-frequency content from over-triggering gain reduction. The EQ section sits either before or after the compressor, an order that's user-selectable, and applies broad shelving boosts at the low and high ends using the same passive-filter approach found across Tegeler's Pultec-style designs. Communication with the plugin runs over Ethernet rather than USB, removing the cable-length restriction of USB control links and allowing wireless operation through a router.
