Overview
Universal Audio Volt 1 Gen 2 USB Audio Interface
The Universal Audio Volt 1 Gen 2 is a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface with one Tone Shaping preamp. It converts audio at up to 32-bit / 192 kHz and connects to a computer, iPad or iPhone over USB-C.
It has one combo XLR/TRS mic/line input with switchable +48V phantom power and one front-panel Hi-Z instrument input, so a microphone and a guitar can be recorded at the same time. Tone Shaping adds three character modes, Warmth, Focus and Shine, with 60 dB of available gain. One stereo headphone output and two monitor outputs cover monitoring.
The Volt 1 Gen 2 is USB bus-powered and class-compliant, so it works with Mac, iPad and iPhone without a driver. Windows uses the ASIO driver from the UA Connect app. Built-in loopback routes computer audio back into your recording for podcasting and streaming, and the unit works with the UAD Console app and the LUNA Digital Audio Workstation. The UAD Volt Studio Bundle is included.
