Sontronics SOLO W1 Professional Wireless Dynamic Capsule

The Sontronics SOLO W1 is a supercardioid dynamic microphone capsule for compatible wireless handheld transmitters. It is based on the SOLO handheld microphone and is designed for live vocals, speech and presentation.

The capsule has a dynamic transducer with a neodymium magnet and a supercardioid polar pattern, with a frequency range of 50 Hz to 15 kHz and a sensitivity of 5.5 mV/Pa. It handles up to 140 dB SPL for less than 1% THD. The focused pickup pattern helps reduce spill from stage monitors, instruments and background noise, and the response is balanced and natural for singing and spoken word.

The SOLO W1 is a capsule only, so a compatible wireless transmitter is required; the maker's compatibility list is in the specifications below. It has a hard black anodised body with a black steel grille, weighs 170 g and measures 93 x 50 x 50 mm. It is built for touring and regular stage use, is covered by the Sontronics Limited Lifetime Warranty, and was a NAMM TEC Awards 2027 finalist.
