Overview
The STC-20 is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser designed as an accessible, all-round studio mic, equally comfortable on vocals as it is on guitar, piano, drums or other acoustic sources. Its open, silky top end and transparent character earned it recognition as a genuinely capable microphone at an entry-friendly price, and this pack bundles everything needed to start recording immediately.
Rather than being sold bare, the STC-20 arrives with a spider-style shockmount to isolate it from stand vibration, a dual-layer nylon-mesh pop shield to control plosives, and a five-metre XLR cable, all packed into a zip-up storage pouch. It requires standard 48V phantom power and is backed, like every Sontronics microphone, by a lifetime warranty.
