Sontronics Omni Capsule for STC-1 and STC-1S (SILVER)

The OMNI capsule is an interchangeable head that turns a Sontronics STC-1 or STC-1S from a fixed-pattern cardioid mic into a mic with genuine pattern flexibility, without buying an entirely new microphone. The standard cardioid capsule simply unscrews from the mic body, and this silver-finished omnidirectional capsule threads on in its place, opening up the pickup area to a full 360 degrees.

That change in pattern is particularly useful for placement: an omni capsule lets you push the mic further from the source and higher above a kit or ensemble while still capturing a natural balance of direct sound and room character. Fitted to a stereo STC-1S pair, the OMNI effectively doubles as an overhead or ambience solution, giving six total capsule combinations across the pair between cardioid and omni.
